Find out how to use Neville Goddard’s Isn’t it Wonderful Technique to manifest your desires.

Do you struggle with creative visualization?

Maybe you struggle to see vivid imagery or have trouble focusing.

I get it. Initially, it can be confusing to know if you are visualizing correctly.

Neville Goddard’s “Isn’t it Wonderful” technique is your answer!

This technique is crazy simple and perfect for beginner manifestors learning how to work with the Law of Assumption

Let’s get started.

Who Was Neville Goddard, and What Was His Main Philosophy?

Neville Goddard was a mystic, creator of the Law of Assumption, and considered the father of the Law of Attraction. The Law of Assumption states that your assumptions create your reality, and whatever you assume will be true.

Neville believed in the power of imagination and created numerous manifestation techniques to help people control their imagination and change their lives.

What is the “Isn’t It Wonderful” Manifestation Technique?

The “Isn’t it Wonderful” technique is a Neville Goddard manifestation technique that gets you to think from the end state (of already having your manifestation).

You repeat a single phrase over and over while constructing a scene in which you already have your wish fulfilled in your mind.

This technique is like affirmations on steroids. It helps free your imagination and evokes your five senses organically.

All you have to do is start with the phrase:

Isn’t it wonderful that [state your desire as if you already have it]?

“Isn’t It Wonderful” Manifestation Technique Example

Let’s use an example of someone wanting to manifest a relationship with a specific person (SP). It might look something like this.

In your imagination, construct an event, and build on the scene each time you say the “isn’t it wonderful” phrase.

  • Isn’t it wonderful that [Johnny and I are in a relationship again]?!
  • Isn’t it wonderful that [we were able to solve and work our problems out]?
  • Isn’t it wonderful that [he said he loved spending time with me and missed me while we were apart]?
  • Isn’t it wonderful that [we discussed moving in together at the grocery store on Tuesday]?!
  • Isn’t it wonderful that [we are going to look at apartments next week]?

Whatever your situation is, build your scene as if it has already happened and you are living in the present with your desire now. Get involved in the feelings of already having your desire and make it feel real

The clearer and more vivid your imagination, the better.

For instance, if the grocery store example above was your visualization, what aisle were you on when you discussed moving in together? The bread aisle, perhaps?

What brands did you see? How did the bread aisle smell? Was the store crowded or empty? What time of day was it? Did you guys just get done working out together, and was your SP stinky?

You get the gist.

According to Neville Goddard, feelings are the secret to embodying the state of the wish fulfilled. So, the most important part of the exercise is to focus on how you feel.

Additionally, you can update the language if Isn’t It Wonderful seems like old, outdated terminology and feels uncomfortable. Change the phrase to something that better suits you. Here are some ideas below:

  • Isn’t it lovely that / I love that
  • Isn’t it cool that / It’s so cool that
  • Isn’tit awesome that / It’s so awesome that
  • I’m so happy that

How To Use the “Isn’t it Wonderful” Technique in 3 Steps

Step 1: Claim Your Desire

Set an intention and decide what you would like to manifest. If this is your first time manifesting with the Law of Assumption, work on one desire at a time for the best results.

This way, you’ll develop a complete focus on your goal and visualization practice.

Write down your desire in a journal. Keep a manifestation journal just for your manifestations and visualizations.

Once you get the hang of manifesting, sometimes people venture out and manifest multiple desires at once, but starting slow will help you build a strong manifestation practice.

Step 2: Visualize Your Desire

Next, set aside quiet time to relax your mind and body so you can visualize your desire.

The best time to reprogram the subconscious mind is when you are in a drowsy state right before you fall asleep, and your brain waves are in the theta state. Goddard calls this the state akin to sleep (SATS)

Other powerful times to impress the subconscious mind are right after you wake up and directly after meditations.

The first (or few) times you work on a specific desire, I recommend having your manifestation journal around so you can jot down your statements, visuals, and feelings.

This way, you can have a record as you shape your visualization or in case you forget something.

Repeat your visualization every night until you feel that you have your desire. You can think of the phrases in your mind or speak them aloud.

Eventually, you’ll automatically know how to get into the state of the wish fulfilled without notes.

And over time, your visualizations will become so deeply ingrained in your subconscious that they become a memory and your natural state of being. This is the goal.

Step 3: Assume Your Desire is Already Yours — It’s Done

The last step is to assume that it’s done.

Neville’s Law of Assumption techniques aim to get you into the state of the wish fulfilled. A state where you are thinking and feeling from the end of already having your desire.

You’ll know you’ve experienced this state when you are not waiting for your desire to come because your desire is already here. Your desire becomes your natural state of being.

You’ll most likely experience states of calm, peace, and gratitude along with the state of the wish fulfilled.

In the beginning, the state of the wish fulfilled will feel false, but as Neville says, as you persist, your assumptions will harden into fact, and the external world will have no choice but to conform to your assumptions.

Does the Isn’t it Wonderful Technique Work?

Yes, yes, and yes! As mentioned earlier, this technique is perfect for beginners but also powerful for experienced manifestors.

I gave an in-depth version of the method, but it’s flexible. You can do a lengthy visualization or shorten your visualization.

However, the goal of the technique is not whether your visualization is lengthy or short but rather to reach the embodied state of the wish fulfilled.

Experiment and see what works, as long as your visualization feels real.

How Long Does the Isn’t it Wonderful Technique Take to Work?

According to a University College London Study, building a habit takes 18 to 254 days, an average of 66 days for most people.

However, your level of belief plays a crucial role; if you believe 18 days, then 18 days.

How long it takes to work will depend on your ability to persuade your subconscious mind (yourself).

For instance, limiting beliefs can cause blocks. So, find your limiting beliefs, work through them, and let go of them.

Another Way to Use the “Isn’t it Wonderful” Technique

Additionally, you can use the Isn’t It Wonderful technique as affirmations.

In the mornings, boost your mood by assuming the day will go in your favor. You can affirm Isn’t It Wonderful throughout your day.

Here are some ideas from Neville below:

  • Isn’t it Wonderful that [something marvelous is happening to me now]?
  • Isn’t it Wonderful that [today will be a fantastic day]!
